Error while saving hosts file in Windows environment “Check if file is open in another program”

Root Case

Current logged in user doesn't have enough permissions to save hosts file

Resolution

Simply 'Run as Administrator' the Notepad++ , and retry saving the hosts file. The error wouldn't appear anymore.
